Craig Sorenson is a lifelong innovator in signage, fabrication, and experiential design. He founded Golden State Sign Company in 1978, becoming an early pioneer in computer-driven sign design, advanced fabrication, and faux-finish reproduction. His work served national clients including El Torito Restaurants, Fleetwood Enterprises, and the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, earning two national design awards from Signs of the Times magazine.
In the late 1980s, Sorenson expanded into hospitality design, creating specialty tabletops and the Mirage Special Effect Surface Covering, a versatile faux-finish system used worldwide.
He later co-founded Flat Spin Media, producing digital content for brands such as IBM and 20th Century Fox before its acquisition in 2003.
Since acquiring Impressive Signs and Graphics in 2011, Sorenson has led its evolution into a creative fabrication and experiential branding company. His accolades include Entrepreneur of the Year (2012) and Business Innovator of the Year (2018) and the Celebrate Resilience Award (2020)

Robert Kaelin is an author, speaker, trainer and coach after graduating with a degree in leadership from Faith International University.
He is a visionary leader, launching Counter Culture Leadership which helps equip leaders to reach their full potential so they can change the world with positive impact. He is also the founder of generous influencers, a non-profit that is on a mission to influence communities with generosity through community events and building local partnerships.
Robert spent his early career in creative endeavors like film, television, and music. Then moved into product development on Microsoft’s Xbox team and learned the ropes of multi-disciplinary teamwork.
In July of 2025, Robert began working with Craig Sorenson at Impressive Sign and Display to envision the future and begin a succession plan. Running and coaching small businesses and NPO’s. Robert has brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team as CEO with creative and innovative solutions that serve our customers and inspire them to DREAM BIG.
Ben Isitt

Benjamin Isitt is an accomplished, internationally recognized sculptor and prop artist.
Since 1988, Ben has provided his talent and expertise to the entertainment industry, architectural and special effects clients, as well as municipal and private commissions. Ben has worked on numerous Hollywood Films, Casinos and Hotels, Theme Parks and Haunted House Projects around the world, including Disney, Universal Studios and Paramount
Ben provides a full spectrum of capabilities, including 3-dimensional art and master sculptures, scale models, illustrations, oil paintings, welded substructures, as well as mold design and fabrication, full scale original pieces, mold design and fabrication, and castings. From concept to completion, Ben has a natural instinct for turning a concept into a compelling reality.
Shaun Hartgrove
Production Manager
Shaun Hartgrove has been a loyal part of the Team since 2012. He has over 35 years of experience in the Sign Industry, from Operations Management, Sales, Customer Service, Onsite Installations/Vehicle Wraps, Digital Printing/Plotting, and hands-on Production.
Shaun is an experienced CNC Programmer and Operator as well. He currently responsible for all 3D File pre-flight, Scanning, CNC and Hotwire operations. Shaun is also a talented Graphic Artist, adept in Adobe Illustrator, Flexy, Composer and Photoshop
